About
Macy Addis is a singer/songwriter and performer whose mature voice and energetic stage presence can captivate any audience.
Born in Portsmouth Ohio, from the early age of two, Macy was singing and putting on shows for family, friends, and neighbors. Whether she was in the back yard or at the grocery store, people knew! At the age of 15 Macy was invited into the O’keefe Music Foundation where she recorded and filmed music videos with musical prodigies from all over America. Currently, she is a student at Belmont University in Nashville, TN.
If not solo, Macy is performing live fronting her rock band “BACKHAND BLUE” with her powerful voice and all-in performances. Macy studies with vocal coach Jaime Vendera who also works with Brian Burkheiser (I Prevail), James LaBrie (Dream Theatre), Dustin Bates (Starset), and many more!
Drawing inspiration from bands/artists like Foo Fighters and Adele, Macy’s music features her soulful and bluesy voice. Just like a guitar player with a distortion pedal, she can seamlessly transition into powerful grit from her warm, full tone. After the release of her first single, “Patiently Waiting,” Macy is back in the studio recording more original music which she hopes to share with the world very soon!
